Sturdy Grinding is an ISO 9001:2008 certified CNC OD Grinding service provider. We grind a wide variety of parts for the automotive, aerospace, defense, heavy equipment and medical industries. Sturdy Grinding will accept part designs in JPG or PDF file formats from our customers.

Our capabilities include 6" wide grinding wheels that allow us to grind multiple diameters in one plunge. We use automatic lateral locators to assure the highest quality on grind lengths and radii. Sturdy grinding has ground millions of precision axle shafts on our automated grinders.

Elimination of grind leads is no problem with our diamond roll dressers. Tolerances down to .0002 inches are common for our OD grinding process. Sturdy Grinding can grind almost all types of materials.

Our Marposs in-process gages allow us to manufacture parts with tighter tolerances and mirror like micro surface finishes.
